Kojima and Good Smile Preview Solid Snake Figma
posted on by Chris Nishijima
The Good Smile Company must have been utilizing some pretty impressive stealth skills to keep their latest addition to their figma lineup a secret. As of this week, the masters of all things made from PVC, in association with Max Factory and Kojima Productions, have unveiled their newest figure, which will be infiltrating store shelves and homes soon enough. Presenting the first Metal Gear Solid Solid Snake figma.
Kojima previewed the figure through its "Kojima Station" program, in which it shows off all of its latest developments. Afterwards, they began posting about it via Twitter. Good Smile and Max Factory soon followed suit. The figma is based on Snake's appearance in Metal Gear Solid 2, and will be on display at this year's Wonder Festival, which will be held on July 27.
Of course, if this figma version of the extraordinary soldier appears a little too edgy, there is always the new Nendoroid Solid Snake that Good Smile began teasing alongside it.
At this point in time, no release date has been announced, so keep an eye out for these two new items. If fans have their way, hopefully both the figma and Nendoroid will come with a stealthy cardboard box.
Metal Gear Solid V: the Phantom Pain is currently in development by Kojima, and is expected to be released in the first quarter of 2015.
