Game will be free-to-play as long as players own one or more Discross toys
Bandai began streaming a promotional video unveiling its upcoming capsule arcade game Dragon Ball Discross on Wednesday:
The Dragon Ball Discross game will be available to be played at arcades and electronic shops in Japan beginning on December 24. By using even one of the Discross toys that can be purchased from the capsule machines positioned around the arcade console, the game can be played for free. Each disc contains a different character from Akira Toriyama's Dragon Ball manga and anime adaptations.
Each Discross can be purchased for 100 yen (about US 83¢), and will be sold early at the Jump Festa event on December 20 and 21.
