posted on by Karen Ressler
Sentai Filmworks announced on Tuesday that it has licensed the Utawarerumono OVA. The company plans to release the OVA digitally and on home video.
The OVA is a collection of side-stories from the first anime. In the first, Hakuoro and his friends and family from Tuscru come into possession of an abandoned baby, and begin the search for it's parents. In the second, Eluluu is kidnapped by a group of people who want her to make a special medicine. The third episode revolves around Touka as she attempts to carry out an order from Hakuro.
The first of three volumes of the video anime series shipped in Japan in June 2009.
Sentai Filmworks licensed the currently-airing Utawarerumono: The False Faces. Crunchyroll is streaming the series as it airs in Japan.
The first Utawarerumono anime was original licensed by ADV Films but later picked up by FUNimation Entertainment.
