Kadokawa's BookWalker manga website and app added 35 manga volumes from Japanese publisher Shonengahosha on Wednesday, including volumes from Brocken Blood, Edo Nekoe Jubei Otogisoshi, Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer, Present for Me, Sun-Ken Rock, Shiawase Restaurant, And Yet the Town Moves, and Tsumanuda Fight Town.
The BookWalker website and app relaunched on October 8 with 700 new manga and light novel titles, including Durarara!! and No Game, No Life. The service plans to add more titles from both North American publishers and Japanese publishers aside from Kadokawa.
Kadokawa launched the eBook store as a website and iOS and Android app in English last year. The store currently features Kadokawa manga, including titles that are also available in English from North American publishers such as Viz Media and Dark Horse Comics. Other manga titles, such as Ga-Rei, Magical Warfare, and Tokyo Ravens, are exclusive to BookWalker in English.
The website also offers magazines in Japanese. Kadokawa has been planning to add light novels to BookWalker since its initial launch.
Kadokawa also runs its separate ComicWalker app. The app publishes different manga series as chapters are released in English, Japanese, and Traditional Chinese.
