Jakarta's Japanese Film Festival 2016 to Host Actor Shūhei Nomura

The Japanese Film Festival 2016 event in Jakarta announced last Friday that it will host actor Shūhei Nomura as part of its screening of both live-action film adaptations of Yuki Suetsugu's Chihayafuru manga. In the films, Nomura plays lead character Taichi Mashima.
Nomura was a competitive snowboarder before debuting in the entertainment business. He joined a national audition by Amuse in 2009 and was accepted. He made his major acting debut in 2010 in the live-action adaptation of Nanae Chrono's Peace Maker manga, playing the role of Rei Kitamura. He has starred in multiple live-action television series and films since then, and appeared in some live-action adaptations of manga and anime, such as Daily Lives of High School Boys, Hibi Rock, Lychee Light Club, as well as the aforementioned Chihayafuru films. He will play lead character Kei Asai in the two live-action film adaptations of Yutaka Kōno's Sakurada Reset novels. He made his anime voice acting debut with Taifū no Noruda last year.
The Japanese Film Festival 2016 event is also screening the Indonesian premiere of Mamoru Hosoda's The Boy and The Beast film, as well as The Anthem of the Heart anime film made by the same main staff as Toradora! and anohana. The event will take place at the Cinemaxx Theater in Jakarta on November 24 to 27.
