Free Virtual Kotatsu Festival on July 25

The Kotatsu Festival, which normally runs anime screenings in Cardiff and Aberystwyth has announced that it will stream live events on its YouTube channel on Saturday July 25 at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.
The events will feature:
Fusako Yusaki (pictured right) is an award-winning claymation animator whose works include commercials, films, and children's television programmes, as well as clay animation advertisements for the liqueur Fernet-Branca, and the TV character Peo the blue dog. The festival has programmed four Yusaki works, accompanied by an interview where she talks about her career.
Miho Yata has produced for TV commercials, teaching materials, picture books and illustrations. Her works are based on knitting, including the series Knit & Wool on NHK E-TV for children early in the morning. The festival will include Yata's The King of Amechau Country (pictured left).
Arisa Wakami works with hand-drawn and stop motion animation, using a range of materials, from people to sand on glass boards. Her works cover films, TV programmes and workshops, and some of them will be shown by the festival.
Mone Kurita combines hand-drawn images with computer manipulation. The festival will screen her films A day when became a Asparagus man, selected for the Tokyo Anime Award Festival, and Brassiere Cat.
The festival will also include graduate woks by some students at the Graduate School of Film and New Media, Tokyo University of the Arts .
