Netflix India is listing Square Enix's feature-length CG film Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV for release on its platform on June 1.
Netflix describes the film:
King Regis of Lucis orders his Kingsglaive warriors to stop the army of Niflheim before it invades and steals the crystal that gives Lucis its power.
The film opened in Japan in July 2016.
Final Fantasy XV director Hajime Tabata produced the film. Takeshi Nozue (Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children co-director, co-producer) directed the film, and Takashi Hasegawa (1999 GTO film, Crows Explode) wrote the script. John Graham composed the music, and Yoko Shimomura (who composed the music for the main Final Fantasy XV game) composed the main theme.
The main Final Fantasy XV game released worldwide in November 2016 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One after a delay. The game later released for PC and Stadia. The franchise also includes a five-episode anime series, a novel, a spinoff VR game, and several spinoff smartphone games.
